From The Editor – OCT ’25

Hey there! Issue #23 is here, and guess what? The amazing summer is wrapping up, and we’re stepping into the cozy embrace of fall. October is all about those changing weather patterns, vibrant leaves, and, of course, Halloween! We’ve got some exciting shoots lined up for this new season, including a Halloween-inspired editorial. So, let’s dive into our September issue and discover what’s inside!

First up, we’ve got an editorial called “Fall for Her,” no pun intended. Samantha is back after her appearance in Issue#3. This shoot was on a farm in Austin, TX, when I lived there a while ago. It was a beautiful day, but Austin summer days can be a scorcher, with temperatures soaring to 100 degrees and humidity levels through the roof. We all braved it and managed to capture some fantastic shots.

Next, we have “Autumn Allure” with Remington. This was the second editorial shot that day, and the timing and light were absolutely perfect. The studio setup was cool, like a blend of a study and a library.

Anonymous Nudes” is back with a few photos. It’s been a while, but I thought it was a great time to bring it back.

Now, we have “Coed Cutie” with returning model, Hannah. This was our second shoot together, and the first time we included nudity. We photographed her in a t-shirt and jeans at a studio with a cozy den-like corner. It was simple but absolutely beautiful.

Hey, let’s dive into our two awesome articles for this issue! First up, we’ve got “The Psychology of Attraction in Horror Films,” where we explore why horror films get us hooked and peek into the weird psychology of fear, desire, and what makes monsters so irresistible. Then we have “What to Delete Before You Die,” which is super helpful info on how to get your computer files ready for after you’re gone. It’s presented in a fun way, but still super technical and useful.

Just A Taste” is our Halloween-inspired editorial. Picture this: a vampire in a red dress with her willing victim in a nightgown—both gorgeous women! I found a studio with blood-red walls and lit it up to create a moody vibe that fits the scene perfectly. You can find an art video and a BTS video on the website.

Next up, we’ve got “Moody Nudes” by photographer Singen featuring model Brooke, who’s also graced the cover of Amethyst before. The shoot is in a cozy studio with just a lamp and neon sign, casting a beautifully lit and thoughtful editorial vibe.

Then, we have the ever-fabulous Bianca in “Cheeky Tease,” set in a Joshua Tree Airbnb bathroom. She’s rocking just a pair of black tights, playfully posing in front of the mirror, in the shower stall, and even standing on the toilet. Somehow, she turns the unusual setting into something super sexy and totally worth every page!

Now, sit back, relax, and enjoy Issue#23!

Cheers, Jeff Gottlieb (Editor-In-Chief)
