Hey there! Welcome to issue #24, the latest edition! Fall is officially here, and before you know it, it’ll be Thanksgiving—a time to give thanks to family, friends, and of course, turkey. This month, we’ve got some awesome editorials lined up for you, plus three articles just for you! So, let’s take a peek inside this issue.
First up, we have an editorial called “Awesome and Edge” featuring Kaylee. This one was shot after our boxing-inspired editorial in a cool gym in Anaheim. We had some extra time and a few outfits that weren’t used, so we grabbed some extra shots. Glad we did.
Next, we have “Eternal Summer” with newcomer BiancaH. This was shot at a location that’s modeled after a Playboy-style grotto. It’s a super cool spot with waterfalls and a cave. We mostly shot this editorial from the front, but we’ll be back there sometime in the future.
Now, we have “Sunlight, Undressed” with returning favorite, Bianca. This was shot in an Airbnb in the desert. In an earlier issue, we saw the outside with a red Corvette, and this is inside that location. In this editorial, we have Bianca in just a towel, like she just got out of the shower. The location just installed a pool and spa, so we’ll be back there soon.
Now, let’s dive into our three articles for this issue! First up, we’ve got “Things I’m Not Thankful For (Like Your Text at 2AM)”. A humorous take on Thanksgiving, family, and friends. So, yes—gratitude is great. But clarity? That’s even better. And this year, I’m giving thanks.
Next, we’ve got “Attraction ≠ Compatibility (But It’s a Hell of a Drug)” which explores how attraction isn’t always linked to compatibility. After all, attraction is super easy, while compatibility is a choice. And guess what? The best kind of love? It’s the kind that just gets better as you get to know each other better!
Then, Leola, our returning contributor, brings us “Pushing Your Edges,” where she dives into exploring the boundaries of sexuality through Tantric Sex.
Following that, Akira makes a comeback in a net bodysuit in “Burnt Honey.” The studio is mostly made of wood, with walls, floors, and everything in earthy browns. Natural light floods in from a floor-to-ceiling window late in the afternoon, creating those warm, soft tones.
Amber Daydream” features Elfa, a new to us, in an editorial shot by Mr. Hxly in Milan. The setting is a warmly lit Italian loft with all natural light. Elfa is seen on her bed, in front of a mirror, and around the loft, with lots of reflections adding to the scene.
Next, we have “Grunge Goddess” with Macy, our fan favorite. She’s rocking old-school grunge boots, jeans shorts, and a plaid shirt, posing in front of a shipping container. The lighting is a mix of natural and strobe, giving it an extra pop.
Finally, we’ve got the “Virtual Alice,” an editorial shoot happening virtually through my computer and her iPhone. It’s the first time I’ve done a virtual shoot; using an app on her cell to take the photos. The resolution isn’t perfect, but I think it’s good enough, and we can’t complain about the beautiful model and her amazing poses!
