Hi everyone, and welcome to Issue #32! Let’s dive into what’s inside this issue.
First up, we have an editorial called “Hotter Than Texas” featuring newcomer Ali. It was shot in Austin, TX, by Photographer Sebastian Salinas at a backyard pool and cool house. Natural light, a cowboy hat, and boots complete the look.
Next, we have “Final Touches” with returning model Lizzy. This editorial was taken at my old apartment in Austin. I shot there every so often because it had great natural light in the late afternoon. Here, Lizzy is getting ready to go out after a shower.
Then, we have “Late Checkout” with favorite Luci. It was shot at a Los Angeles hotel with a cool bed. I composed each frame to have the lamp in the middle, where the hardcopy’s seam would be, and divide each photo into halves. The lighting, orange-colored bed, and Luci’s great poses completed the look.
Now, let’s explore our articles for this issue—we’ve got another two! “How Does Sleep Apnea Affect Your Sex Life?” focuses on a little about what Sleep Apnea is but mostly how it can affect your sex life for both men and women. Then there’s “Tips for Talking About Sex with Your Friends.” Here, the article discusses how to respectfully talk about sex with friends and respect privacy while doing it.
Stars, Stripes & Sand” is up next, showcasing Kateryna in a bikini that’s perfect for the 4th of July! We captured these shots in the afternoon under the Santa Monica Pier, and I always find the sunlight dancing on the wet sand there to be so beautiful. We also took some shots right next to it. It was a busy Wednesday, but we managed to get some fantastic photos.
Then, we have “Sun Seeker” with Lauren. This shoot took place in a downtown studio with amazing late afternoon light, a cool floor, and some stunning nude poses. When I was editing, I thought the photos looked even better in black and white with a touch of grain.
Next, we’re diving into “Dark Paradise” with Andrea. This was shot in Spain by photographer Jose Ramos during the last beautiful hours of the day at the beach, with perfect lighting. Andrea is wearing two wet tops and bikini bottoms before going completely nude.
Finally, we have “Summer Breeze” featuring Chelsea. This editorial was shot in the hills of the Los Angeles Valley. I set up a clothesline, hung some lingerie, and captured Chelsea around it and on a blanket. It was a cool, sunny day, which really made the bright colors pop.
