Hi everyone—welcome to Issue #35! Let’s dive into what we’ve got for you this time.
First up is “Spiced,” starring fan favorite Lucy. We shot this in a cozy little hotel with a gorgeous burnt-orange couch that felt just right for fall. It even comes with its own art video.
Next is “Industrial Blonde” with Macy, our first model. We found a cool industrial spot with an aluminum wall—perfect for her fur coat and high boots, another great autumn look. There’s an art video for this one, too.
Then we have “Dark Romance” with Luci, another favorite. We used a neat hotel with a unique headboard, and she wears a detailed lingerie set with chains. This one also has a video.
“Fight Night” features Anna in a boxing ring inside an aluminum-sided shack. It was over 100 degrees that day, and we were both sweating—I think it adds a fun energy to the shoot. Yep, there’s a video here as well.
Now for our two articles: “Halloween as Permission” explores how dressing up one night a year lets us show hidden sides of ourselves. Then there’s “Role Play for Beginners,” which talks about how the hardest part of trying something new is just saying, “I’ve always wondered what that would be like.”
Next is “Under the Pier” with Kateryna. We literally shot beneath the Santa Monica Pier on a beautiful Los Angeles afternoon—the light was perfect, and the beach was packed, so we tucked away there.
Finally, “Modern Mischief” with Bianca. After a shoot in a ’70s-style bathroom, I spotted a cool painting in the apartment’s living room and thought it made a great backdrop. Bianca added the fun with the bra. This editorial comes with its own video, too.
Last but not least, we’re excited to share “Practical Magic” with our returning model, Lauren. I captured these shots in a bright Los Angeles studio with big windows and a shiny white floor. The dress she’s wearing was custom-made from an Instagram photo I loved.
